Pet Peeves!

Like most teenagers, a lot of things get on my nerves easily... Atleast I hope its not just me. I thought i'd writethis blog as I've been thinking about things recently...

So here's a list of a few things that annoy me in school, at home or just in general:

Numbero Unooo: Mouths.

Now, this can include unnecessary squeaking, slurping, burping, teeth grinding, piercings both inside and outside of the mouth, and in some cases just speaking. They all either annoy the shit out of me or make me cringe. urghh its horrible even thinking about some..
I cant stand people chewing with their mouths open either, its horrible and just lack of manners. Ugh! I can't stand it! Every time I hear it, it makes me want to punch the person right then and there or a wall, one of the two.
... moving on!

Number twooo: Know-it-alls

I am all for confident and intelligent people speaking their mind, but when their confidence becomes too 'in your face' that is when I draw the line. There are some people in this world who have been blessed with a sharp mind that can hold all of the information in the world. However it is up to those people to be humble about it or to be obnoxious. The people I am talking about choose to be obnoxious! They correct your every word and cant accept that they may be wrong. It's insulting and oftent unnecessary!

et trois!: Eye rolling!

Rolling my eyes has gotten me in trouble with my parents a couple of times when I was younger, because it is a sign of disrespect. It says to the other person, "I don’t give two shites about what you’re saying," and as a result it shows that you are rude. You get the ones who do it subtly who annoy me because they cant stand up and tell people what they think and do it in silence then no doubt to speak about someone behind their back. You also get the ones who are so over dramatic that it makes me think why do you even bother pretending to be a friend? It gives away your non-caring attitude, congrats. Try not to roll your eyes because you could hurt someone’s feelings and be labeled as a wee shite!

Fourth: First years. (kids around the age of 11 in school)

This meme pretty much expresses my feelings towards these kids. They're mainly annoying because they're so cheeky! and honestly, they've been getting cheekier throughout the years. They scream and shout all the time and find it funny to take the piss out of older pupils because they think its funny..
maybe its just because im getting old and like my peace but I could honestly strangle them on a daily basis....

Well that's a few of my pet peeves, no doubt i'll add more when I think of them, but until next time...

Cheerioooo!x

October favourites!

October was a great month for hitting the shops. Chunky knitted cardigans, Christmas style jumpers and gorgeous boots were introduced to the stores and I snaffled up the bargains I found!

I bought a lot of nail polish as I was running low (I wasn't actually.. Needed new colours...) my favourites are these:

My red glitter, pastel blue and orange pink are gorgeous! Barry M is one of my favourite brands.
I don't have the nicest longes nails but I do what I can....

I also got given this scarf from my mum. It's £40 from a boutique in Glasgow which my auntie works in and I got it free! Boooyaaaa! :P

These are my boots... I am in love. They were £40 from next, sadly I didn't get them free. They are amazing, I wear them most days! And they're helpful as I'm only little...

On the topic of shoes, I also bought these bad boys! I got these heeled books for £20 at BooHoo.com, I really love this website, they have some beautiful clothes and I wish I could have them all!

The next thing is my h&m jeggings. I didn't discover these in October but I did buy 2 pairs because they're fab! I have them in both blue and black but the blue are my fave! I wear these pretty much everyday and I love wearing them with my black boots.

  Again, my amazing Nikes! :P

That it for my October faves so far, wait till next month for my November faves, got a few already!;)

Body image

*please not that this is about my opinion, im not trying to say its the only opinion but it fits for my body shape and confidence issues so no bitchiness please x*

What do you think the perfect body is? Skinny? Toned? Whatever you may think, the average dress size of a woman in Britain is a curvy 16. All these expectations for woman to be slim, stick thin creatures is very high in today's society. Most women are ashamed of their weight and go on frequent diets. However, why are we not proud to have our curves? Yes I must admit I have been on the slim fast diet (it tastes bloody horrendous, never do it) but it's not because I'm ashamed of my size 14 body, it's because I wanted to feel better, less tired etc, honestly im proud of my boobs and arse. Do you see a skinny girls with these bad boys? Eh.. No. :P

think that it's the constant criticism that lead women to do crazy things to lose weight. Many methods are unhealthy and don't work.

We are exposed to body image from a young age. for example, Barbie. Barbie is supposed to be the perfect young woman, she is skinny, blonde, beautiful and yet there are few women who actually look like her.

Beside the 'normal' Barbie, is the 'average woman' Barbie. This was made to promote a healthy, realistic body image to young children and was very successful with both parents and the kids who didn't know the difference between them yet.

The biggest reason is celebrities. Some girls and young women compare themselves to models in magazines showing off their non curvaceous bodies and the world sees them as the average woman. Even though these women are so small, many are very unhealthy as they starve themselves, suffering from anorexia and bulimia, which are equally as bad as being over weight. However, other researchers have contested the claims of the media effects paradigm. An article, for example, argues that the effects of being around smaller friends and family who are critical are much more likely to cause body dissatisfaction than the media, and that media effects have been overemphasized.

Also the maniquens in shops. Stores such as debenams have replaced their models with size 16 models so bigger women are not put off buying clothes shown in a size 8/10. I believe this boosts the confidence of women all over Britain and will help sold the issue that we have:unrealistic expectations.  This is Laura Wells, this mannequin from Debenhams is based on her body shape. She, along with many other famous faces, has stood up for curvy women and promoted a healthy body image.

more beautiful, curvaceous celebrities involved are Kelly Brooks:

and Jesy Nelson from Little Mix:

As this picture below shows, there are so many types and to pic one is rude and disrespectful.

It is easy for people to make fun of body size. Women especially take this more personally than men. A woman will hate her body no matter what it looks like, she will always aim to get thinner or fitter and rarely be satisfied. The fact is that all women are beautiful. we all have different body shapes and who's to say what is 'perfect' or 'ideal'. Basically what im saying is that even though many have told me i'm fat, I don't care. I'm proud to have my curves and yous can all be jealous.. ;)

Which Hazel - Life Saver!

Recently I've had spots... As a teenager I guess it's fairly normal but they're horrible, not gonna lie. So, as all good mums do, she drove me up to boots and we spend about 30 minutes trying to figure out which brand would be the best and if I had oily or combined skin... Who knew it was so complicated!? So anyway.. I decided to go for the Witch Hazel products.

As you can see, I picked up the Night treatment (which claims to calm your skin and intensively work while you sleep!) Foaming Face Wash and my personal favourite, the Blemish Stick which I apply before my makeup in the morning. The best thin is that they were on 3 for 2 and only £8... bargin! I love the apple/minty smell and it feels so smooth, cool and relaxing on my skin and it doesn't lie, my spots are nearly all cleared after only two days!...

Thank you witch hazel, you've saved a thankful teenagers life!

(You can get them at any boots store!)

Beauty and Hair Purchases

Only recently have I decided to take more care with my hair...
I got my hair cut a few months ago and got told by my hairdresser that my hair was very dry. I was aware of this at the time because I used to curly it every day with straighteners and no form of heat protection, so I quickly changed that!

About a month and a half ago, I was in boots and as I was looking in the shop briefly as I had to catch a bus, I had to pick the first hair products I could find. I spotted the V05 range on 2 for £5 so I picked up that bargain! Little did I know that I would absolutely love them! I bought the heat protector and smooth curl mousse which I've had to replace it twice because I love using them so much.

I have also purchased my first salt spray because I've heard so many good things! I got 'Toni and Guys Sea Salt Spray' for just over £7 and its my favourite thing in the world. I find It is better used when your hair is dry although putting it in your roots of wet hair gives you a nice boosted texture.

I recommend it to anyone, short hair/long hair/bald people if you want a grainy head...

MAKEUP!:

I've also been buying a lot of makeup recently, mainly lip stick. My favourite lip stick as always been Kate Moss of Rimmle London ever since it came out because of the texture and smells, but now they could have taken second place to the new lip crayons from various brands.

These are my most used lipsticks, my 'go to' ones for any occasion!

My favourites crayons however are the Rimmel London Colour Rush in '220-Romour Has It' at £5.99 and the Bourjois Colour Boost in Red Sunrise at £8. They are both very similar couloirs although one is red bases and the other dark pink.

Also in the Boots 3 for 2 deal I bought Foundation. I used to use Rimmels Wake Me Up foundation bu I found it too think and honestly. I just fancied a change. I had my face matched with no.7 and am now trying out their Stay Perfect in foundation in cool vanilla. I am now on my second lot because I really like it and to save money (that's my excuse as they are £14) I bought one, my mum kindly bought another and I receives the third for free! I'm now set for about 3/4 months!

That's my new makeup so far, check back in a bit for an update.... :P

OOTD's

I can't go into town without buying at least one item, however small or large it is. One of my favourite outfits is a skater skirt and some form of top. I find its flattering to my body shape and hides all the jiggly bits :)

Its hard to find clothing to look good on my body, but I feel small block heels to giant stiletto heels help balance me out and make me look less short and stumpy.

I wear this style pretty much all the time, at school, on weekends and on holidays obviously. As my schools as not a very strict uniform, I can wear pretty much anything and get away with it as long as I have my blazer, short and tie on. So I obviously take advantage of this and wear mad tops with my black skater skirt (of which I should probably buy another as I wear it every day!) I like to wear my bow belt also, it's purdy :3

As you can see, the school representation is minimal but I can still whip out my tie if one of the assistants shout at me...

The first time I bought a skater skirt, I also bought a crop top for that banter. It was only £12 all together but it's became my most worn outfit!

My other go to outfit is a good old peplum. These things are life savers for bigger bodies as the hide the bellyyy! Yaldi!

I have 3, they are worn most days while being rotated around so I look like I have other clothes and not just 3 peplums and a skater skirt...

But yeah...

*i fangirl over my Nikes because I love them so much!*

Also, the jacket I am wearing is my favourite jacket. This I really do wear with everything and anything!

I look pregnant in this picture but as you can see, same top and same jacket, the only difference is that the picture was taken months before the last.

As you can see, I love these two styles of outfit an although slightly similar, they are completely different, and also depending on the mood in I'm (feeling fat or not) decidedly which I go for.

Halloweeeeen!

I love halloween, It's one of my favourite times of year!

Pumpkin carving is my fave. I love the smell and look of them as decorations in the house and the fact that everyone has them is cool, it's brings the village together... Kinda.

Halloween gives me the chance to sit down and actually make something fashion related and actually finish it. Last year I was a tiger/leopard. Pretty common thing for girls to go as, that and black cats, but I thought it would be easy makeup and furry, which I love! I started with a simple leopard print body on dress from H&M and make a waist coat, ears and cuffs with fur I bought from Remnant Kings.

For makeup, I did my usual foundation, eyeliner etc but added loads of bronzer and used eye liner and gold/orange/brown eye shadow for leopard print from my eyes to my temples.

This year, I didn't dress up on the night though :( i did have a party at my school but it got postponed until the 21 of November because of a fight between a few people in 5th and 6th year... Arses.   instead, I created Wolverine! My brother and his fiends went round the doors and I decided to give him a full wolfy makeover...

I'm pretty proud of this, but he took loads of my mousse and hair spray... He's buying me more! ;P

When Novemebr 21st does come, ill be dressed as a clown! Again, I have make this costume from materials from Remnant Kings (plug!) and I've only make the skirt because I was so annoyed about not getting to wear it, so I've still to make my top, neck piece and cuffs :)

I'm also proud of this... It took hours of work and cost my days pay but it was worth it! I'm not sure about my makeup yet, although I'm pretty sure ill stick with the black and white diamonds theme...

We'll see!
