Fun at Alton Towers!

On Wednesday night (or Thursday morning I suppose you could say) I left my school gates on a coach with a bunch of my class mates, heading for Alton Towers! At first I was not looking forward to the idea of leaving at midnight to have 2 stops (one at 3 and another at 6:30) before arriving at our destination at 8am but the journey wen by so fast!

Now, for those who have never been, Alton towers opens its gates at 10am, 2 hours after we arrived. So what do you do to keep your self amused? You buy miniature bouncy balls and fling them all offer the huge car park! Duh..
Most of the people on our bus where running round like headless chickens  trying to catch these bouncy balls! It was hilarious to watch and I learned that I really do need my glasses... And had eye coordination training.

The gates finally opens and we all piled into the park. Me and my friends ran to 'The Smiler'. This being my first time at Alton Towers, I had no idea what to expect, whether I would be terrified or excited and I think it's fair to say I was a bit of both. The ride its self was amazing. The vertical lift leading to and from the 14 loops was terrifying as it felt like we were going to tip backwards although, I must say it was possibly y favourite ride, along with 'Oblivion'. It was so good, we came back for a second ride at the end of the day!

The day at Alton Towers was amazing! We left the river rapids for last and my friends got soaked! Luckily I was dry...er.

As we were about to leave, we found a few other of our friends and we all decided to go on the mine train for one last ride as we were due to leave the park. We had a blast and I enjoyed going on a ride with a lot of the other people in the trip that we hadn't seen all day.

And clearly, some of us found the day exhausting! Poor Laura :P me and Louise had too many bon bons to be sleepyyy.

recommend Alton Towers to everyone! Even though some of my friends don't enjoy roller coasters, we managed to get them on most and they all had a fantastic time!

Money, Money, Money!

So recently, I've started my first ever Saturday job in a small village cafe/gift shop called The Wishing Well. It's adorable! I'm starting to get used to how everything works after my fourth week last Saturday but I'm still nervous invade I mess up an order or drop a bunch of glasses :/

I knew starting a job would be nerve wracking but not as scary as my first day was, especially with some of the mean old customers who go regularly.

The main reason I started was to gain both experience and earn a few bob as I was skint... I was surprised to hear that I get at least £5 an hour and that's a lot for a seventeen year old. I also get tips and come away with about 30 each week for just a few hours. It honestly does help! I have earned a total of £115 with my four shifts and tips included, and it's being saved up!

The reason I'm saving and not just spending it like I would normally is that I want to go and see my favourite band, The Wanted, in concert VIP style! ;)

I coloured an envelope and used it to store my notes and coins but recently I've had to invest in a better 'piggy bank'.

I bought a new bank that looks like a giant coca-cola can! It's massive! But it's so far enough space for my monaaayz :D

I'm almost at my goal of £200 with some in the bank, so I'm definitely able to afford a ticket but I'm so tempted to go shopping for some new clothes, shoes as pointless accessories/stationary and mostly a smoothie from town every week like I used to!

Boyce Avenue!

Sooo tonight I went to see the amazing band that are Boyce Avenue! They are an American band made up of 3 brothers: Alejandro (vocalist), Fabian (guitarist) and Daniel (bassist). They began to make YouTube videos and very soon went viral! Their music is beautiful, full of emotion and meaning, which is amazing to experience live.

Tonight, the boys were in Glasgows Oran Mor, "the venue". I was 3/4 rows back and couldn't believe that the 3 people I had admired on my laptop for years were in front of my eyes for the second time!

My favourite song tonight was Broken Angle. It's so emotional and beautifully performed and they bring the audience in to participate in the singing, splitting the crowd to sing different parts :)

After the show I was lucky enough to randomly walk into Alejandro and got a picture! He was lovely, genuine and humble as he took picture with the fans outside in the rain!

I know I look a state but was so happy to meet him again!

Leave a comment below if you've ever met the boys or seen them perform! :)

Disney Crazy!

If you read my first post, you'll know that I'm a Disney freak! I love the movies, the characters the stores are most importantly, Disneyland! I never get bored and I'm always looking forward to going(hopefully spending Christmas there for a second year!)

I got the chance to go with my school earlier this year in February and I was so excited to be going with my friends, many who had never been so I was happy to show them around the parks that I know like the back of my hand... Sad right? :P

Can you tell we're pretty excited?!...

Anyway, these are some of my friends and I standing outside the very expensive Disney Hotel! It's so beautiful an the first sight you see when you enter the Disney park.

Here's me and Louise in the Disney Village with our Mickey/Minnie ears on!

Everyone kept asking me what the best ride was but I honestly couldn't choose, so narrowed it down to a few in each park. We started off in the studio and I automatically took them to the Hollywood Tower of Terror and Aerosmiths Rock n' Rollercoaster. I love them both, the atmosphere, the thrill and the employees who make the experience so much more memorable! Looove it!

We had an amazing day and at night, as the park was due to close, we had the experience of watching the fantastic lights display on the castle! It was the perfect end to a gorgeous, magical day and I almost wanted to cry, so cute :')

See how pretty it was :') this was a special thing for their 20th anniversary which I saw for the first time on Christmas Day but I'm so glad they extended it until me and my friends came  later in February! :)

I recommend Disneyland Paris to everyone! No matter what your age is, gender or anything else, Disneyland is amazing and honestly I feel it ring people together as friends and most definitely as family.

Blog number one... Sorted!

Hey!

I'm so excited to be starting my first blog. I've always kept a diary and thought I should continue my love for writing about my life on the Internet where I spent the majority of my time...

So here we go... I'm Sophie, I'm seventeen and live in sunny Scotland!
*alliteration! Whipping in the English skills right in there ;)*
I have a passion for music, art, fashion and makeup so you could say this blog will be based around that but I often write about anything and everything. My favourite colour is purple (incase you couldn't tell) and I could probably live on skittles and carrots! I'm currently in my sixth and final year of high school and am excited to continue my education in an artsy course at one of Scotland's universities! However, my ambition is to join the Police after my four/five years at uni.

I bet your wondering what I look like.. Well ill drop in a wee picture and twitter link so you know who's writing this blog for hopefully years so you can see My dreams actually come true...

I'm a serious Disney freak.. You know when you go on your family holiday to Spain or Italy every year? Yeah.. My family and I go to Disneyland Paris... Every single year... How can you get bored of Disney!?

As I said, music is a huge part of my life. I love pretty much anytime of music but I have a select few favourite bands, not gonna lie, if you're in this group, I devote my life to you... In a  nice way, obvs ;)
For example, Mcfly were my first favourite band! I've loved them since the age of seven, that's a whopping ten years of dedication! At the moment and for almost 4 years, The Wanted and Lawson have been my favourite bands also. I love everything about them, their music, they're personalities and obviously their looks.. I love them all members equally, however Jay McGuiness has stolen my heart! 💕

Supanova. Where do I start with Supanova... These boys mean the world to me! I like to think we're bestos but to them I'm just a fan. I have supported them literally from the beginning and I'm so proud of how far they've come on the past year and a bit :) such cuties!

Okayyy, so I think I'll wrap things up. If you like what I've shared so far and would like to follow my blog, feel free! My twitter is @sophieJunexxx so give us a follow and ill follow you back :)

Thankyou for taking the time to read this nonsense first post... I promise ill interest you more next time and I promise I'm not just a fangirl, it just takes up lots of my life
*hope this makes sense and there's no spelling mistakes....*
