So recently, I've started my first ever Saturday job in a small village cafe/gift shop called The Wishing Well. It's adorable! I'm starting to get used to how everything works after my fourth week last Saturday but I'm still nervous invade I mess up an order or drop a bunch of glasses :/
I knew starting a job would be nerve wracking but not as scary as my first day was, especially with some of the mean old customers who go regularly.
The main reason I started was to gain both experience and earn a few bob as I was skint... I was surprised to hear that I get at least £5 an hour and that's a lot for a seventeen year old. I also get tips and come away with about 30 each week for just a few hours. It honestly does help! I have earned a total of £115 with my four shifts and tips included, and it's being saved up!
The reason I'm saving and not just spending it like I would normally is that I want to go and see my favourite band, The Wanted, in concert VIP style! ;)
I coloured an envelope and used it to store my notes and coins but recently I've had to invest in a better 'piggy bank'.
I bought a new bank that looks like a giant coca-cola can! It's massive! But it's so far enough space for my monaaayz :D
I'm almost at my goal of £200 with some in the bank, so I'm definitely able to afford a ticket but I'm so tempted to go shopping for some new clothes, shoes as pointless accessories/stationary and mostly a smoothie from town every week like I used to!
